Floating community on the Rio Negro

On the flooded banks of the Rio Negro, and on stilts, is a little community of people whose lives ebb and flow according to the rhythms of the river.  During rainy season, their houses are almost touching the burgeoning river, but they get around it. I saw a young girl take her even younger sister on errands in a motor boat. It is always great to see a new way of living.
